About this journal

Hello, I'm Dong.
I write to pay attention.

Dong on one of his journeys

This is my personal corner of the internet—a place for stories that are too meaningful for a social-media caption and too easy to forget if I do not write them down.

I started with travel because new places make it easier to notice the world. But a life is wider than its itineraries. Here, I also write about work, technology, books, photography, hobbies, and the ordinary moments that quietly shape who we become.

Why a public journal?

Writing turns vague experience into something I can understand. Publishing adds a little courage and creates the possibility that a thought might be useful to someone else. I am not here to present a perfectly finished life. I am here to document one in progress.

Stay curious. Make useful things. Leave a clear record of what mattered.

If you are reading, thank you for spending a little of your time here. I hope you find an idea, a place, or a sentence worth carrying with you.

A few principles

01

Notice deeply

The interesting story is often hiding inside an ordinary day.

02

Stay unfinished

Curiosity needs room to change its mind and begin again.

03

Share honestly

Useful writing sounds like a person, not a performance.
